Join the Don Catchment Rivers Trust and the Angling Trust as we help to clean up litter along the Five Weirs Walk at Salmon Pastures.

Those who are up for it will have the opportunity to go into the river using waders and help pull out the litter in the vegetation. This is a collaborative event between DCRT and the Angling Trust, as part of the Great British Spring Clean campaign (15-31st March). This campaign is ran by Keep Britain Tidy, helping to promote that ‘the environment belongs to everyone’. The Angling Trust have their own ongoing campaign, Anglers Against Litter, which looks at caring for our freshwater environments and protecting wildlife from the dangers of litter by taking 5 minutes at the end of every fishing session to pick up litter.

For this event, please book on via Eventbrite, even if you are an existing volunteer. All are welcome to attend, this will just help us gauge how much equipment we need.
