The site is easily accessed by foot from Parkgate (cross the footbridges from stone-row way, first over the railway and then the canal, to get to the playing fields)
Join Don Catchment Rivers Trust and Love Where You Live (Rotherham) for a day of clearing up an unloved stream. As well as being unsightly, litter in watercourses often lead to localised flooding. 10am-2pm.

Please wear suitable clothing for outdoor work, wear sturdy boots or if you would like to get in the stream wear wellies. Training, equipment and refreshments will be provided.

Join us on 22nd July at 2pm for a guided walk to learn about the geology and landscape of the Don Gorge.
Starting from The Boat Inn, Sprotbrough, the walk will be led by Rick Ramsdale of Sheffield Area Geology Trust.
The event is free of charge, however please book your place by calling the office on 01302 796173 or emailing [email protected]. Please note that the walk will involve a walking up a fairly steep slope to reach the top of the gorge.
