Chesterfield Walking Festival: Fishery and NFM

As part of Chesterfield’s Walking Festival, Matt Duffy (Fishery Officer) and Debbie Coldwell (Natural Flood Management (NFM) Officer) for a guided walk along the River Hipper and Holmebrook.

 

Starting at the confluence of the River Hipper and Rother, we will be strolling the riverside footpath taking in aspects of fishery management and NFM along the way. The route follows footpaths but these may be muddy so please wear appropriate clothing. Once at Queen’s Park, we will then follow the Holmebrook through the county park ending the walk at the pavilion where walkers will be able to use the toilet and have lunch in the café if required.

 

Take this opportunity to learn more about the work DCRT do in your local area and ask questions about all things fishery and natural flood management!
