Volunteer Day - Friends of the Don Valley Way - St Mary's Bridge
St Mary's BridgeYork Road Roundabout, Doncaster DN5 8AN, UKJoin the Friends of the Don Valley Way as the clear up the start/ end of the Don Valley Way in Doncaster.
We will be meeting at 10am at the enterance to the Don Valley Way on St Mary’s Bridge near the VW garage, and finishing a bit earlier at 11.30am. This is due to there being a tea party at the new Doncaster Office on Wheatley Hall road afterwards.
Please wear sutible clothing for outdoor work.

Tapton Terrace Volunteer Day
Tapton Terrace86a Crow Ln, Chesterfield S41 7UB, UKJoin Don Catchment Rivers Trust for a volunteer day cleaning-up the River Rother. All abilities welcome!
Location: Meet at Tapton Terrace at the junction with Crow Lane.
What to bring: We will provide all necessary equipment and refreshments. All you need to wear is appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy shoes.
Tasks include: Litter picking, debris removal, vegetation maintenance, invasive species management and access improvements.
Timings: Day runs 10am – 1pm but feel free to come whenever suits. We have a tea break around 11.30am.

POSTPONED Citizen Science: Identification Workshop

Help DCRT monitor the river Rother’s diversity, before and after restoration work. In this workshop we will be sorting through collected kick-samples, identifying and recording the abundance of freshwater invertebrate specimens, with a particular focus on identifying families. Please note this is not a training course, although help is given and there is lots to learn. The ability to use biological identification keys is useful, but not essential and beginners are welcome.
Microscopes will be on hand for some of the identification.
