Join the Friends of the Don Valley Way as the tackle the Himalayan Balsam on the bank of the River Don. There will be a break for refreshments in the middle of the day which are provided.
We will be meeting at 10:00am and finishing at 1:00pm, and will be meeting on Bridge Street near the Chapel.

Tasks include: We will be concentrating on removing the invasive weed Himalayan Balsam all along the Moss catchment by pulling up the plant which has very shallow root systems.

Location: Derby Road end, just next to the Derbyshire Times building.
What to bring: We will provide all necessary equipment and refreshments. All you need to wear is appropriate outdoor clothing (waterproof, long sleeves and trousers) and sturdy shoes.
Tasks include: Litter picking, debris removal, vegetation maintenance, invasive species management and access improvements.
Timings: Day runs 10am – 1pm but feel free to come whenever suits. We have a tea break around 11.30am.
