Visitors can discover colourful mushrooms and sensational toadstools with ecologist, Julie Riley, who is leading a guided walk around the historical woodland, starting at 10am **Walk starting 10am from the entrance on Lawton Lane lasting around 1hr30min ** There will also be bush-craft activities, games and nature crafts between 11am-3pm. The Canklow Woods Fungi Foray is a free event, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of Don Catchment Rivers Trust’s ‘Living Heritage of the River Don’ Project. There is a short flight of steps into the cemetery. The site is only partly accessible with steep hills and some uneven ground. There will be an accessible toilet on site. On Street Parking on Livesey Street and Free Off Street Parking is available at Owlerton Stadium (Main Car Park, please avoid the yellow/red bays). Get the Yellow/Blue tram to Malin Bridge (Hillsborough Stop, 20 min walk from Wardsend Cemetery).
