Breck Farm Watermeadows is a special and rarely explored local wildlife site in Chesterfield. Join scientists and nature experts to count all the crawlies, critters and creatures we can find before the clock runs out!
Activities include:
- Kid’s & Family Bug Hunting
- River Dipping
- Identify your finds at our identification station
- Identifying living organisms with DNA
- 1pm-1.45pm: Rewilding the Rother Guided Walk with Ed Shaw (please book a place by emailing [email protected])
Parking, toilets and refreshments at Barrow Hill Memorial Hall (S43 2PG) with a short walk (10-15 mins) to the Bioblitz near Hall Lane (see poster below)
Please note this is a wild site, so is sadly not accessible to those with mobility issues or pushchairs. Please wear suitable shoes and clothing for an outdoor event. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
